Vintage bags
At last... another post, I have been so busy lately I haven't had time to do anything interesting, let alone blog about it!
However the other day a friend of my mothers picked up a bag for me at a parish stall, here it is:
it's made of black velvet and inside....
is a 1964 Australian penny! This just charmed me to death if such a thing is possible. Because you should never give an empty purse or bag, its actually sealed inside a little plastic pocket to make sure the bag is never given empty.
This purse/ evening clutch I have had for a while. I got it at an op-shop in Fremantle, however I am too scared to actually take it out with me as it is quite delicate and I have already had to re-sew some of the beads.
but it looks lovely sitting on my night stand anyway. in the photo is also a necklace i got from yet another op-shop in Freo ( there are quite a few of them, about 7 or 8 if you count vinnies retro and all the little "boutique" second hand store which i don't because they are over priced and I cant afford them on my poor student budget.)
Anyway more posts should be forthcoming but I'm not making any promises as I will be teaching for the next 6 weeks so I will not have very much time at all.
