Here are some patterns I found recently at an op-shop. I have already used the middle pattern to make a frock coat for a Mary Poppins costume.

Some excellence for your Tuesday evening.
Cats in clothes. They're cats! Wearing clothes! Painted adorably!
One tiny hand (http://onetinyhand.com/). For some absurd reason I find this just hilarious. Please tell me I'm not the only one.

The 60 second beret
Berets are the best answer to a bad hair day, because I have short hair I can tuck most of it up into a beret and only style the front bits. In winter I live in my beret and headscarf so today I am showing you haw to make the quickest hair hider you have ever seen.

A short note on a long absence.
Dear lovely people who sometimes visit this blog,
If you come here regularly you will have notices that I have not been posting regularly. This is because I have been on prac for my education studies and have had no time to update which is awfully sad-making. I have still been sewing and doing somewhat interesting things I have just been neglecting to take photos and blog about it. I promise this is all about to change as I now find myself with an incredible amount of time on my hands. So look forward to lots more over the next week.
Till next time
Adiós.

Not the weather for a picnic.
It seems that just as the weather changed I had a sudden desire to go on a picnic, so while we strap everything down for the gale force winds expected tonight I am longing to go sit in a field and eat food from a basket. Instead I have had to be content with pinning multiple pictures of picnics I wish I was on.

Tennis anyone?
I saw this dress on modcloth today and now I have a sudden desire to make myself a tennis dress, so I whirled around the internet collecting inspiration. This is what I have so far:
I will make mine light blue with white trim. It will have a short pleated skirt and a longer circle skirt that can be buttoned over it. I can't wait. Now I just have to learn to play tennis.

Addictive thing of the day: The burning house
If your house was burning what would you take and what would you leave behind?
this site asks people to take/draw a picture of the things they would take with them.
